THE M31 TOUR

The M31 Tour brought together MELBOURNE writers PORTL & SUGAR on an journey along THE Hume Highway, covering walls from MELBOURNE TO NEWCASTLE. WE AQUAINTED OURSELVES WITH ALBURY, CANBERRA, WOLLONGONG, SYDNEY, PENRITH and NEWCASTLE WITH 16 pieces getting painted in 6 days.

Named after the highway itself, the M31 Tour was a celebration of spontaneity and the raw expression that defines graffiti culture. Each stop along the highway saw the artistS transform forgotten walls, underpasses, and industrial sites into colorful statements of style and skill.

WAR OF THE WORDS - SYDNEY

Sydney’s a wild card. Energy Is sky-high, egos are bigger, and tempers are short. OdDessey and Saute1 absolutely crushed the word “Very” in the first Battle of the Bridge, for WHAT IS the War of the Words concept. hosted by Amuse One, MTN supplied the sprays, we were there to cature it.

JIGER x MTN HARDCORE

PArt 2 with jiger was a piece for the gang at Mtn colors. the mission, rinse a few boxes of hardcores and create something in yet another disused space. jigs had it locked, new the spot, subbed it and sorted it so we could walk right in. the ultimate professional. we’ve been saying he needs to get a job in real estate.

HAITCH ABANDO

a bold "H" dripping with character, or a character dripping with “H” - who knows. Haitch's approach isn't built on permanence, but the thrill of the hunt, the silent exchange that happens between artist and observer in the hushed locations they get to meet.

LING x MTN COLORS

Ling is the ultimate professional and a contemporary veteran.
of id/gh fame, it was an honour for us to collaborate on one of these pieces with him. we ventured out to the burbs and trapsed through the scrub to find the entry point then set up shop. ling flexed his letters like a pool noodle and even dropped a charro in the middle to top it all off. southern hospitality at its finest.

RHYS JOHN KAYE x NO VACANCY

hosted at No Vacancy's inner city spot, Rhys John Kaye's "Made From Rain" offered a captivating journey through fragmented memories. Rain, both literal and metaphorical, blurred the lines between past and present in his paintings. The clean lines of the gallery itself heightened the fragmented nature of the artwork, inviting viewers to piece together their own narratives. Porcelain vessels echoed the vulnerability of memory. "Made From Rain" didn't provide easy answers, but good things never do.

JIGER abando

WE GOT JIGgY WITH IT and followed him into a new spot he'd scouted before we arrived. Practically untouched, the forgotten space reaked of flavour. we unloaded a few boxes of mtn hardcore and he signed a new lease on the JOINT.

shipwrecked, philipPenes

The Philippines trip started with a bang – Meeting of Styles festival in Manila. But the real adventure began when we ventured beyond the city with a small crew to find a secluded beach to lay around for the final days. low and behold, instead we found the final resting place of a shipwrecked vessel. After a bumpy taxi ride and a scenic hike, there it was – the rusted skeleton of the ship, half-buried in the sand, whispering tales of bygone voyages. *holdS tongue “i was born on a pirate ship.”

MUCHOS x MILE

two of the nicest to ever do it came together in newcasTle, nsw to give a couple of mtn 94s a work out. muchos and mile linked on colours and brought their vastly different yet complementary letter bending to the location. Ncl sure knows how to make people feel welcome.

MUCHOS x MTN WAREHOUSE

ANOTHER "MTN Warehouse Session" bursts with color as Muchos takes center stage. Huge walls become a playground for his signature vibrant creatures. Towering over the scene, a massive, playful group of fruits with mismatched eyes emerges from a splatter of MTN colors showing viewers how hardcore should be used.

JAPAN SPRAYCATION

On OUR Japan trip, we met up with graffiti legend Snipe1
who steered us to the perfect spot: a chill freeway bridge on the outskirts. Luckily, Japan's amazing 7-Elevens came in clutch. Breakfast of champions. HEre’s a look at what went down.

HUGEST x MTN COLORS

FOR the premiere of MTN's "Warehouse SERIES" spray paint giant MTN COLORS THREW open their doors to Hugest, a graffiti artist with a passion for tags. The warehouse becomes A canvas – a massive 3x4M portable wall awaits THE transformation.
HERE’s THE PROOF…

PORKER x PASSPORT

Passport ISN’T a shop anymore. The familiar rows of decks wereN’t the focus. replaced by a outdoor canvas showcasing Porker's takeover. Bold lines and the graffiti writer's touch brought his signature work to life on toys, models and anything else that would absorb ink. Detailed pieces felt like ripped-out storyboards, while simpler work captured the raw energy of the street, naturally.
